Pipes
Seamless, ERW, profile, water-gas. Diameter 15—530 mm, wall 1.5—22 mm. The catalogue’s largest category — 821 SKU.
Pipes are the largest category in the E-Metall catalogue: 821 active SKU. We cover all key tasks: load-bearing steel structures, heating, water supply, gas networks, oil and gas equipment, steel frames.
Fast-movers (seamless Ø 25—108, profile 40×40, 60×60, water-gas ½″—1¼″) are kept on safety stock — same-day shipment. Large diameters and non-standard walls — factory shipment 5—14 days.
Classification & types
Seamless hot-deformed
Produced by rolling a solid billet without a seam. The most reliable — uniform strength across the section. Used in high-pressure systems, boiler piping, critical steel structures, oil and gas. GOST 8732-78. Steels 20, 35, 09G2S.
ERW longitudinal seam
Made from sheet or strip with a longitudinal welded seam. Available in a wider diameter range — up to 1420 mm. Cheaper than seamless. Used in trunk water mains, district heating, steel structures. GOST 10704-91. Steel St3.
Profile (square and rectangular)
Square or rectangular section, usually formed from a round ERW pipe by squeezing. Main applications — building frames, stairs, fences, exhibition equipment, furniture. GOST 30245-2003.
Water-gas (VGP)
Thin-wall steel pipes with tighter dimensional accuracy for threaded joints. Used only in internal low-pressure (up to 1.0 MPa) gas and water networks. Sizes in inches: ½″, ¾″, 1″ etc. GOST 3262-75.

| 325 × 10 | 77.68 | High-pressure trunks |
Selection guide
- Boiler piping and high-pressure systems — seamless GOST 8732 only, steel 20 or 09G2S (for cold)
- Internal water and heating in apartments/houses — VGP ½″—1¼″ or seamless Ø 25—40
- District heating mains — large-diameter ERW longitudinal 219—530 mm
- Building frames, stairs, fencing — square or rectangular profile
- Fences, temporary structures — thin-wall ERW or older profile (we do not offer used material)
Shipping documents
Factory quality passport stating the steel grade, chemistry, mechanical properties and hydro-test results. EAEU conformity certificate. For state procurement — CT-1 or CT-KZ. The full electronic archive of documents — in the personal account on shop.e-metall.kz.
Storage, acceptance, transport
- Store under a canopy or in a covered warehouse, on supports at least 100 mm above the ground
- Seamless pipes — 1—2 t bundles, profile — 1—1.5 t, water-gas — 0.5—1 t bundles
- Before welding — clean rust, oil and scale from the seam zone (at least 20 mm on each side)
- Cutting to size — band, plasma, oxy-fuel, see Metal cutting
FAQ
Q. Can ERW pipe be used in a boiler room?
Not recommended. Local stresses at the welded seam under high pressure can become a failure concentrator. For boiler piping use only seamless GOST 8732.
Q. What is the difference between profile pipe 60×60×3 and 60×60×4?
Wall thickness. 60×60×3 = 5.3 kg/m, takes a smaller bending load. 60×60×4 = 6.9 kg/m, for load-bearing nodes. Selected by SNiP calculation.
Q. Can a seamless pipe be bent for a heat exchanger?
Yes, cold-bent or with heat. Minimum bending radius — 3 diameters. We bend U-shaped heat exchangers in-house from a client drawing.
Q. What does “class 1 dimensional accuracy pipe” mean?
It is a tolerance requirement on diameter and wall thickness. Class 1 — the tightest tolerances, for precision tasks (oil pipelines, high-pressure gas). Class 2 — standard for most construction tasks.
